If you own MCSA 2003, then add 70-648: Upgrading your MCSA on Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008, you will get both two MCTS certifications. MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring, and MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure .
MCSA + 648 = MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring
+ MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring
= 640 + 642
If you have MCSE 2003 certification, then add 70-649: Upgrading your MCSE on Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008, you can get MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring、 MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure and MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Platform, Configuring.
MCSE + 649 = MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring
+ MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring
+ MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Platform, Configuring
= 640 + 642 + 643
Note: All examinations are unable to upgrade directly to MCITP certification.
So the people who have MCSA2003 or MCSE2003 and still want to upgrade to MCITP, you also take some related PRO exams, as below:
MCSA + 648 + 646 = MCITP: Server Administrator
MCSA + 648 + 643 + 620(or 624) + 647 = MCITP: Enterprise Administrator
MCSE + 649 + 646 = MCITP: Server Administrator
MCSE + 649 + 620(or 624) + 647 = MCITP: Enterprise Administrator
